MUCH LIKE THE PATIENTS WE THRIVE FOR,
WE’RE STILL IN OUR EARLY YEARS
The Thrive Fund was established in 2021 and is progressively funding functional wellness practices into the UF Health Pediatric & Oncology Division at Shand’s Children Hospital— one hoof at a time.
As we thrive forward, we will continue to add wholesome, integrative medicine and minds while keeping our herd of patients and thrivers, families and donors, informed of our progress every step of the way.
Fund a functional nutritionist for the UF Health Pediatric & Oncology Division at Shand’s Children’s Hospital.
With emphasis on a balanced diet, as well as physical, emotional, mental and spiritual wellness, the medical dietician will seek to heal patients as a whole, as opposed to only combating their illness. These integrative practices complement traditional cancer treatments and can reduce patients’ health risks during treatment, as well as chronic illnesses post-treatment, & ultimately boosting their quality of life.

Fund further integrative therapies, practitioners & research for child cancer patients treated at UF Health Pediatric & Oncology Division.
Fund a whole host of integrative therapies, services & research to treat the whole patient & not just their illness. Promote physical, emotional & social function through nutrition & culinary medicine, mindfulness practices, sleep & stress management, physical & social engagement, & education to equip families with the tools to thrive during treatment & beyond.
Continue to fund integrative healthcare at UF Health Pediatric & Oncology Division, as well as other child cancer healthcare providers across Florida & beyond.
As our fund grows so will the children it benefits. Through awareness, education and donations we can explore providing functional wellness services, education & research to childhood cancer patients across the region, state & country.
Because every childhood cancer patient & their herd deserves to THRIVE.
